Crusty aluminum and a realization

Haven't had much to post as I have been polishing and sanding the extreme oxidation on the camper. I took a chance and bought a drill attachment with rubber wires that claimed to be 220 grit. This is extreme for use on aluminum but it has been the only thing to eat the deep oxidation. I've been following up with 1000 and 1200 grit dry sanding, and three different polishing wheels with various grit clays. I spent all day on the entrance door yesterday and here are the results....not necessarily in the correct order, but you get the idea...
